How buying Valor Mortis via CS2 skin arbitrage works — timing, safety, and how the Steam wallet credit gets spent.
Yes. Steam Refill finds CS2 skins priced lower on third-party marketplaces than on the Steam Community Market. You buy the skin externally, wait out Steam’s 7-day trade hold, list it against an existing Steam Market buy order, and the Steam wallet credit that lands is used to buy Valor Mortis at an effective ~30% discount versus paying Steam directly.
Total time from purchasing the skin on a third-party marketplace to having Steam wallet credit ready to spend on Valor Mortis is typically 7–8 days — the 7-day Steam trade hold, plus a few minutes to list against a Steam Market buy order. Steam Refill emails you the moment the hold expires so you can flip the skin immediately.
It’s safe and within Steam’s terms of service. You’re buying CS2 skins on licensed marketplaces and selling them on the Steam Market like any other user. Steam Refill never asks for your Steam password and doesn’t use any API that violates Steam’s terms — we only surface price data and remind you when items become tradeable.
Yes. Steam wallet credit works for every purchase Steam accepts payment for — the base game, DLC, in-game items, subscriptions, gift cards and bundles. The discount applies regardless of what you ultimately spend the credit on.
